Megan Rapinoe stated in an interview this week that playing professional soccer for the US Womens National Team was the "worst job in the world."

TPC consulted with its fact-checkers: a collection of Public Bathroom Cleaners, Pest Control Technicians, Sanitation Engineers, Mortuary Attendants, Slaughterhouse Workers, Roadkill Collectors, and Coal Miners whose combined average salary is $37,462 per year (minus beet stipends).

TRUE: Professional athletics is the worst job in the world.  People only take this work when they have no other choice.
